It's another form of radicalisation.

If (like me) you take offence at radical Muslims posting hateful material online that, for example, encourages 15-year-old girls to join ISIS, then you should equally have a problem with online material that results in an innocent schoolboy being attacked here in the UK. It's the same offence, different perpetrators, different victims.

What I am disputing in TR's case is whether he can be held solely responsible for what happened in this case.

His social media page was his sole responsibility. So for that agchristie, yes.

Weather that correlates to the sole responsibility for the entire situation, i'm unsure. but.. who cares? Does being partly responsible make it lighter on the poor 16 year old school boy? No. It's a moot point in my opinion anyone else who is at fault should be punished as severely

The lawyers have written to Robinson notifying that they plan to sue for defaming the child, NOT for the actual physical assault.
Presumably they have the videos as evidence, so if they do contain lies, they should easily be able to establish their case against him.

well it will be interesting because i hope TR's social media page got cached because if not it's been deleted hasn't is because even social media can't be bothered giving him a platform for his xenophobia

I don’t ‘do’ Facebook so I don’t understand that. How can anyone be responsible for what other people post on their page – and can they delete offending posts? Are you responsible for what other people post on your threads here, Spath?

Don’t claims like that strike you as odd? Why would he deliberately use something that can be so easily be exposed as false? It makes no sense.

I have no idea if that is true or not but it certainly doesn’t strike me as odd: there are countless examples of online and media fakery which are so naff it is, literally, unbelievable.
Nor sure we,’re dealing with the brains of Britain here

Perhaps Robinson is not bothered that an illustration he used is false, because by the time the deception is noticed, the post has already served its purpose to his followers.

That presupposes that he knew it was fake before posting it, which seems doubtful.

It’s a tactic used by unscrupulous media groups too.

Because he knows most people who follow him will not 2nd guess anything he says. It doesn't matter if it's a fake photo if it strikes an emotion in his audience for them to rise up then he has succeeded.

If TR was regularly into the habit of deliberately publishing defamatory material it would leave himself open to running the risk of being sued left,right and centre but that is not the case is it?

As I pointed out earlier, when Robinson was just a football hooligan with no money, then there is no point suing him.
Now he is a £millionaire from donations, he is worth suing.

And therein may lie the problem with suing him. Unless they have other evidence.

As I said earlier,money talks.People should be suing on a point of principle not how much can be claimed.

How many times do we hear about successful claimants who state 'it was never about the money'?
