May has implied that Brexit could end up never happening if her deal is voted down this week.

Do you think this made her deal more likely to get through or less?

Which is what she has wanted all along.
I don't think her comments change anything.

MP's will vote on principles rather than ultimatums.

The deal will almost certainly be voted down but a 'no deal' will not be countenanced leaving the UK in a semi-permanant state of flux...

" I predict a riot "

I think what May 'has wanted all along' is to be in power. I don't get the impression she has many real priorities beyond that.

Still, we can't get inside her head.
She seems to be playing both ends against each other. Not backing her deal means either 'no deal' or 'remain'.

Clearly lining up her post-Parliamentary job at NASA.
yes the vegans have nearly prepared the barbecue, I suspect this is the end game all along. The VB are determined to stay shackled to their overlords.
She is trying to frighten Brexiteers into backing her deal.
parliament won't accept the back stop, the EU wont budge unless they think we are prepared to leave with no deal.
Question Author
The thing is, this is obviously designed to try and encourage Brexiteers in parliament to vote for her deal (as she's suggesting the alternative will be remain). It also seems to be working - plenty of ERG-ers are making far more conciliatory noises than they were.

But at the same time, if she really means this threat, then it's also an incentive for Remainers in parliament to vote *against* her deal, in which case she may well have just defeated the deal she is trying to save...

Kromo, she is a remainer, and has been since day one.
Question Author
Except when she was all 'no deal is better than a bad deal' and 'brexit means brexit'.
Kromo, just words which she has reneged on time and time again.
Question Author
She reneges on just about everything she says whenever it will suit her: Second election, national insurance, hinkley point, etc. etc.

There really aren't any major policy areas that she hasn't u-turned on.

That's what makes me think none of this is really about principle for her - everything seems to be expediency, subordinate to the goal of being in office.
She changes her mind more often than her shoes.
//There really aren't any major policy areas that she hasn't u-turned on.//

Really? I didn't think there had been much time to debate anything else in Parliament but Brexit in the last 1-2 years.

I dread to think what other business has been held up or not been debated at all!
The idea that Theresa May has been a Remainer is utter nonsense. She has a different interpretation of Brexit from what people would like, but it isn't "no Brexit at all". Never has been.
I predict Sense , at last, Bring it on OK!
That is implied by the deal she agreed.
But we can avoid that fate by rejecting it. Again.
theresa may should fall on her sword, and resign and let another take up reigns and lead, but not a general election.
What a surprise! Perhaps when Mrs May said ‘No deal is better than a bad deal’, she meant ‘no deal’ means staying – and that, I guess, is her 'better' bit.

Jim, //The idea that Theresa May has been a Remainer is utter nonsense.//

Not so. She is a Remainer. Anyone attempting to do a ‘deal’ that keeps this country tied to the EU in any shape or form is a Remainer. Leave meant leave.. but then you know that.
