Brit's Behaviour Abroard.

Whilst not condoning this behaviour by a certain few, LBC radio decided to make this a news subject for their phone in.

Having listened to this I was surprised at the way this behaviour was criticised as being part of our British (but mainly English) behaviour when we are abroad.
Two callers one a Black male and an Asian lady, who I suppose would demand that they were British born and bred, were amongst those who slagged off 'The Brit's' culture.

The Asian Lady criticised the way British women dressed when they were abroad, with their skimpy attire and tattooed arms. Whilst the Black fellow chose to link 'The Brit's' aggressive behaviour back to the days of our Empire.

Why is this sort of criticism of our behaviour and culture allowed, yet if we criticise other's cultures and their behaviour, we are classed as being racist? Indeed it would never be allowed to be the subject for a radio phone in.

Have you had much dealings with various company's call centres, they are mainly Asian or Geordie.

I agree with jordy - I`ve never seen that kind of behaviour but then again I don`t go to those kind of places. Those people are probably the same people getting drunk and fighting in pubs in Catford or wherever it is they come from. They just do the same and a bit more when they go away.

There are Brits of all colour and class I'm afraid behave like this. They are not alone though, other countries do it too, if your in Majorca take a look at Magaluf at night, not just the Brits.

Interesting to see the usual who rather then discuss the underlying problem start on AOG.

At least it is comforting to read that two people have been arrested, makes such a change from the reports on gun and knife killings, when it is mostly reported that no arrests have been made.

2 dozen police officers, 2 police vans and three police cars in attendance, nice to see that at least Hampshire police are up to strength, even before Boris's promise to increase police numbers.

Who criticises behaviour that warrants criticism is irrelevant. The Brits Abroad culture you’re talking about is shameful. That said the Germans, Dutch, Danes, etc have their moments - but that doesn’t excuse it.

If you really mean the white British, they are in the minority, and no there are enough traitors already, who are willing to do that.

1. There’s no reason to link the terrible behaviour of Brits on a cruise ship with criticism of it by non white people (unless you have an ‘agenda’)
2. There’s no reason to suppose the people making the comments would ‘demand’ that they were British. To do this your standpoint would have to be one where you assume they weren’t and there’s zero evidence of this. Such a comment furthers the evidence that you have an agenda. Along with your many many other bigoted posts, AOG.
