I my day (the days before pills of contraception, benefits, food banks and free meals)we didn't go in for children before we had a roof over our heads and could also afford to keep them.

Now we hear of parents unable to feed their children while they are on holiday and therefore not available for free meals.

What must be addressed is why they continue to have children when they can't house them or even feed them?

And of course Mass Immigration is never highlighted as a reason for lack of housing, is it?

We've had factory built houses near us for a few years now. One minute all that there is a bare patch of land and the next a row of houses. Admittedly they do look a bit plain and basic but nevertheless they are meeting our local housing needs. The shipping containers looked as though they were stacked on top of each other so I suppose although modular housing is quick and easy to assemble it would require more land. Unless of course they do build them like apartment blocks.
spath, they dont get deported though, human rights act and all that
drawn out court cases, took years to get rid of hook hand and millions people appeal then wait for another hearing, foreign criminals us the same law to stay, plus the ones with no passport or documents..send them where, and some countries wont take them back, or im gay.
some people come here to abuse the system, with legal firms helping them, who in turn get paid, tribunals over turn, the system is over loaded and the country needs to take stock of who are here already
moritorium if you like.
I remember when a person had to have put a certain number of Insurance stamps on their card before they could even have sickness or Dole money. These days it doesn't seem to apply.
Fender, I'm not going to argue about Humans Rights.

Human rights are human rights.
OK, spath, now I see: Your friend only had a US passport.
Correct Sanmac. The hoops he had to jump through to get his UK passprot, as a UK citizen was extensive.
Sorry, and his NI number.
This is all about what people expect society to provide for them. As has been said people live in all sorts of homes and if this is a temporary solution to their problems, so be it. It’s more than they’re providing for themselves.
Obviously.

Haha! That's some imagination you have there, bainbrig! If I didn't regard your inane ramblings as ... well ... inane ramblings, I might be offended. ;o)

Obviously you never learn, why only the other day the Spare-Editor stepped in to warn us that the misuse of usernames will not be tolerated, even to the extent of using an ABer's surname if he takes offence by one doing so.

What an idiotic thing to say. We're not the third world, there are plenty of properties for all. There is food in abundance being thrown away because supermarkets prefer to ditch stuff rather than give it away. No-one in this country should be homeless.
