Previously one of the most loyal Tory MPs. Except on Brexit. Will be one of many key tests of where the mood of the country is now, if he can hold on to his seat in the now almost inevitable election.

Okay, okay, stop laughing at the back.

The brexiteers on here will be slagging him off now - wait for the torrent
and yet, Mr Lee criticises the "no deal blocker" bill as Mr Corbyn's white flag. how does that work?
he's gone to the right place the natural home of the Non Dem.
Treacherous rat! Hope he gets hammered if he tries to stand again.
Pretty irrelevant really since MPs (on all sides) seem quite happy to vote against their party.
I doubt Brexiteers on here will be the only ones slagging him off. His constituency voted Leave. He can probably wave goodbye to his career.
I agree that a GE is now inevitable. Thursday 30th October sounds a good day. Go for it, Boris.
The next election is bound to be a bloodbath one way or another. I shouldn't be surprised to see Philip Lee lose his seat, for sure. But to call someone who, until today, had been a member of the Conservative Party for 29 years, an MP for 9 of them, and who had basically never voted against the government in that time a "treacherous rat" speaks volumes about the state of politics now.
I don't think the 35,000 constituents who voted to leave in Bracknell are going to be very happy with him.
The BBC: //the Lib Dems - who back another referendum on Brexit and want the UK to remain in the UK//

Wow, that's one HARD Brexit.
Talk about 5th columnists! Have these renegade Tories a death wish? They must know they have no chance of being reelected under a different banner.
"I don't think the 35,000 constituents who voted to leave in Bracknell are going to be very happy with him."

eh at least they can be unhappy about more than just living in Bracknell then.
Personal opinion: If a elected MP leaves their party mid term, it should automatically mean a bi-election in that constituency. Too many people vote for the party rather than the candidate. His election victory is therefore bogus.
No need to *** off someone who turns their back on their party, on the public, and on democracy. Their actions speak for themselves.
Oh. So "slagging" is accepted, but not "sl ag". Good grief.
Good Man.
In the same way that *** is unacceptable but arsed is!
// Treacherous rat! Hope he gets hammered if he tries to stand again//
