And the parents should be ashamed, in fact one such mother was just on GMTV , her dress was nearly around her thighs.
Just wear your uniform because when you eventually enter the work force, there's rules to be adhered to that you'll have to follow!

I think girls wearing trousers as part of their school uniform is a sensible idea. It's nearly impossible to enforce a skirt length - think of the outrage if girls were made to kneel down to check if the skirt touched the floor as was the practice. It would have been much more sensible if this schools head had kept gender out of the equation.

I'm surprised at your attitude to this, Naomi.
Let's forget about Islam(keep the SJWs happy) and accept the school's
alleged reason for doing this, pandering to the transgender community.
Why should the majority change to suit the minority. An imperceptible minority, at that, if it is anything to do with transgenders.
Has the Headmaster/mistress/person shown up anywhere to defend this? I'm guessing it'll be a purple haired, Common Purpose harridan.

Spicerack/hereIam, I don’t agree with changing rules to suit a small minority and I didn’t say that, but there are other reasons here, one being concern over the length of skirts – quite pertinent in my opinion. I do think the complaint that this prevents girls from ‘expressing themselves in a skirt’ and that the new uniform is ‘sexist’ are ‘precious’ - just as I think demands that Muslim women are allowed to ‘express’ themselves by wearing a burka are precious. I simply think trousers are more practical, and compared to short skirts, more respectable – not to mention potentially safer.
