You kindly gave me advice on my Lily Allen thread about copy and pasting. Just left you a message on that thread. I do know how to copy and paste. I have been computer trained and employed using computers for more years that I can remember, but appreciate you were trying to help.
If you, or anyone else, can give me any advice on why some months ago my Samsung tablet refuses to let me copy https addresses after two years of us,and how to rectify this, I would be grateful. I can copy and paste everything else - just not the address, where it only gives me the paste option. It's driving me mad!

It just happened suddenly. It will copy and paste everything else. Bellieve it or not, my son is IT engineer and consultant, but I keep forgetting to ask him and he's hard to contact.

Thanks all for your input. I presume gulliver said something rude!
Interesting Hopkirk. It only happens on my tablet which is android and is only https addresses that it won't let me copy. I can still paste in the address bar though. It's a Galaxy Tab. However just tried my old Android tablet (Hudl) and its doing the same! So not a problem with the tablet.

I just found this
//With the new Chrome 75 I'm not able to copy a URL. It's acting very wonky. I've tried long pressing on the address bar to no avail. Sometimes after long pressing it only gives an option to paste. Sometimes when the option to copy shows up - instead of copying the URL of the page I'm on - it will copy some other URL to a different page. Have any of you tried copying URLS with android Chrome 75 yet? This function appears to be broke. Any suggestions?//
Apparently it's a bug they are working on. There are ways round it but too complicated for me!

Can you not copy & paste the address without the https:/ / then just type that bit in before the pasted address ?
Unfortunately that doesnt work. The address bar doesn't show the letters https. When I click on it to copy it just invites me to paste and shows the full address with the https in front below it. I can't delete https from that. It just opens the link. Think im giving up!! My head hurts. Thanks for trying OG. Hopefully they will the bug.
"And Gulliver So many remarks from others on AB about your childish remarks on sensible debates. Think hard!"
thinking is not available to this person who acts like a child in here.
If you can be bothered and have some time to waste then just peruse some of the pathetic and childlike replies in the news section....shows a complete lack of knowledge and understanding of very basic questions and situations and just spurts out replies that a teenager wouldnt even use, yet think this person claims to be an adult...
