The beef is that it could of been dealt with discretion. It seems they would rather their sister be dealt with 'in house' and out of the public domain. In other words they hoped for a cover up or whitewash no doubt.
If they claim the Met is still institutionally racist then it could be said that the BPA appear to be institutionally corrupt judging by a past chairman and others.

But if she is guilty of an offence (and she clearly was) why should she be let off with a slap on the wrist and "naughty lady"?
Clearly the BPA think black guilty police should not be charged. If a PolicePerson is suspected of any offence it should be for the Court to decide their guilt not the Police themselves.

Bobbisox, plenty of white people have won a MOBO award. One black person, Charley Pride, (as far as I know) has won the Country Music Awards.
I'm not aware of any black person winning the International Classical Music Awards.
There are awards for different types of music and there is nothing wrong with that.

No......they have pointed out (as Shoota said) she didn't *have* to be charged, there were other ways of dealing with this matter.
Unless we are to learn quite how many white Police Officers have been dealt with 'in-house' in contrast to how many have been prosecuted and then compare that with the figures for black Officers, it is a little difficult for us to know whether there are any racist attitudes in this prosecution.

//Am i correct in saying that she has been put on the sex offenders register ? //
All three have been placed on the Notification Register.

It's all very unfortunate. I'm sure the policewoman (who knew the law) said to her sister something like 'Don't ever send stuff like that to anyone and especially not to me. I should by rights report you for prosecution'. Her sister (who didn't know the law) probably previously, sent it to 17 other people. When the police did get involved she rather dropped the policewoman in it. Should those police have used their discretion?
Hard to say, isn't it. They could have found themselves in trouble, dealing with a loose cannon like the social worker sister.
What would AB's policemen have done given similar circumstances?

On the first page of a google search I found at least six different white police officers from various forces who were charged and dealt with at court for possession of indecent images. There was no cover up for them so does black give immunity? If this senior officer was not charged she would never command the authority or respect from her colleagues. As a superintendent she could or may have been part of a discipline board/enquiry on other police officers once.
