London Bridge Attack
Let us all hope and pray that the horrific attacks at London Bridge do not become Boris's equivalent of Thatcher's "Falklands factor".

So what you're actually saying is that the Police aren't effective enough in restrain and detaining assailants? I'm sure they're more than capable and have the tools required.

//yet you're saying a police officer couldn't have tasered the man or fired rubber bullets or tear gassed or did all three? //
It is my information that a taser was deployed and failed. The barbs did not penetrate the killers thick coat.
Rubber bullets are used in riot situations where there is a target rich environment. They are totally inaccurate and at close range are equally as lethal as a 5.56mm bullet.
Why put yourself in danger by getting up close to a man flailing wildly with two knives taped to his hands and wearing a suicide vest to give a whiff of CS gas. CS is not an immediate method of incapacitating a likely suicide bomber.
I can assure you Peace Lily that the Anti Terrorist Firearms teams have trained for these scenarios ,are provided with all the equipment they need, and know which method to ensure the safety of all innocents around them with the equipment at their disposal.

AOG - // If Islam happened to be
a white Far Right organization it would have been banned long ago //
But it's not, it's a centuries old faith with adherents in every country in the world, not a pseudo-political race hate group - the two don't compare which is why 'banning' Islam is no more feasible than 'banning' Christianity.

naomi - // AH, I don't have a 'mill'. Just an education. //
I think everyone in here is aware of your education, since you are keen to remind us of it at regular intervals.
However, education and understanding are not the same thing, and it is possible to know about something such as a faith in great detail, without ever actually understanding it in terms of its effect on its followers, or its place in the wider world.
Being educated about Islam does not make you an expert on the extreme complexity of its place and impact in the wider world, any more than wearing glasses for sixty years makes me an optician.
It gives you an opinion, based on your own personal views, which is something the rest of us have, and offer, on an equal basis.
