Saudi Pilot Called Us 'nation Of Evil' Before Shooting Spree At Florida Airbase
//A Saudi pilot who killed three people on a US airbase in Florida had called America a "nation of evil" and quoted Osama bin Laden in social media posts hours before opening fire, according to an extremism monitoring group.
The killer, a member of the Royal Saudi Air Force who had been training at the Pensacola airbase, was shot dead by a sheriff's deputy.
He has not been formally identified, although Reuters quoted two unnamed officials as saying he was Second Lieutenant Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani.
The SITE Intelligence Group, which tracks Islamist extremism online, said that he had posted on Twitter about US wars in the Middle East shortly before the shootings.
Police have said they are investigating whether the attack was terror-related...//

No pretence. None are so devout as those who are willing to die for their faith. He was … and did.

I think it is pretence - although I know that we disagree on this point.
I have said before, and will say again -
It's much easier to look in a mirror and say to your reflection "I am a soldier of Allah, and I will willingly die for my faith …" because that enables you to feel good about yourself, and what you do, rather than -
"I am a psychopath and I enjoy maiming and killing innocent people because I have a hugely over-developed sense of self-importance and arrogance, and an innate sense of cruelty which occupies the cold dead space where my soul used to be …"
because that makes you feel bad about yourself - even though it is actually the truth.

naomi - // You’re trying too hard to endow a ‘soldier of Allah’ with a western mindset that he doesn’t possess. He looks in the mirror and sees a soldier of Allah. His faith is his life. That’s it. //
If you are able to mind-read the thought processes of an entire faith base, you should be far too busy and wealthy to have the time to post on here!!

Being a 'soldier of Allah' does not endow every single Muslim with the mindset that compels them to kill strangers - that is reserved for the psychotic minority who appear to believe that they are doing God's will, when evidence from any source advises otherwise.
And please don't trot out the usual 'it says so in the Koran', because that means I have to trot out the usual ' if they right eye offend thee … from the bible, so let's skip that bit shall we?

No, let’s not skip that bit. The difference between the Bible and the Koran has been explained to you many times and if you ever listened to anyone else you might remember what that difference is. Best you do a bit of revision and then try again.

naomi - The thread that runs through almost every answer you offer on a faith-based thread is the apparent notion that your unproven 'education' about Islam gives you some unique insight into the workings of the minds of people who hold that faith, be that individuals, as here, or en masse, as you advise on other threads.
The simple fact is, you think your 'knowledge' puts you in a superior position, but the reality is - neither of us knows how any individual thinks, or why they are motivated to do what they do.
The difference between you and I, and others on here, is that I and we are willing to accept that we are merely advancing ideas and thoughts, you however insist that your views are fact-based, with no clear evidence to back up that position.
As I have pointed out previously, education means nothing without understanding - you are always very clear to point out your possession of the former, while then regularly demonstrating that you actually lack the latter.

Naomi - // AH, Like you, you mean? Oh no, hang on ... you say this is nothing to do with faith. Strange then that so many who claim that faith are prone to committing atrocities like this. //
It is anything but strange.
As I have pointed out, the notion of acting for a 'faith' allows a terrorist to avoid the real reasons why he or she is a murderer - because they are psychotic, and their 'faith' is simply a convenient peg on which to hang their abhorrent behaviour for the wider world.

Best you stop patronising me and debate like an adult.
Your much-vaunted 'education' does not make you a teacher, and I am not your pupil in your class, so kindly drop the superiority and address me as your equal, which I absolutely am.
