Didn't Andrew recently step down from duties after all the under age 'speculation'. He was allowed to, no critic but when it's some 6th in line for the throne ex bachelor prince with his new wife and kid, why is it all a big deal? Who cares just let them do it I say.

Sorry I haven't read all the comments but you ask why is the D of S treated differently to the D of C. I would have thought the answer was obvious. A lot of people like Kate because of the type of person she is, whereas a lot of people don't like Meghan, and this is why she gets criticised. The things Meghan has done so far including her preference for where she spends time in the summer and at Christmas are things that Kate wouldn't do.Yes Kate did spend time with her family one or two Christmas's ago, she didn't travel to another continent to spend 6 weeks in a luxury mansion.The behaviour of the 2 Duchess's cannot be compared because they are completely different.

Harry wants to step down. Can't blame him.

The problem will get worse and worse. Prince Louis is only 1 year old. His great grandmother is currently the monarch. After that it's his grandfather, then his father, then perhaps in about 70 years his brother. We're expecting him to do our bidding for his entire life, playing some bit part spare, rather than get on and do his own thing. A life of service or a life of servitude?

70 years ago was 1950, 70 years time is 2090 ... think of the difference between 1950 and now and, given the rate of change now, how much different 2090 will be and ... sadly ... the royal family doesn't make much sense any more. They're good for the country, but I don't think the country is good for them.

The difference really is that Kate behaves appropriately (Royal family appropriate) Megan doesn't. Megan then gets more press because the public thrive on the juicy news and not on the boring normal. Prince Harry should have antipated this would happen. He has made his bed and now needs to lie on it.

I really can't see the problem in sorting this, relive them of all royal duties, as of now, stop all payments from the public purse, if his old man wants to give him a bit of pocket money, no problem, and if they really want to be independent, can they leave a cheque for 32 million for the wedding. As I said before, he's not even in the line of succession, so it's not like an abdication. Gawd knows what all the fuss is about.
