Don't cross nanny harry or you may get the old rolling pin over your head. My mom who is 99 yrs old said, as old as the Queen is, she as got more up top than the whole lot of the royals put together, and as her mother once said, I don't complain, and I don't explain.

I was a tiny tot of three when she came to the throne. I don't remember it, but I have a lovely large black and white photo taken on the day of all the local kids attending a party and my Grandma, one of the organisers, is there smiling at the front while I'm sat cross legged on the floor. It was Mum's photo and I have it now for safe keeping. (Why am I filling up) ...
She says, and US lawyers say they can use it in the US and there’s nothing granny can do.
If they want to burn all their bridges and become real outcasts then, well go right ahead.
But don’t expect to pop back and have a nice cosy chat any time soon............. Although to be fare they probably don’t intend to come back at all.

And that's their choice, Bobbisox. Just because the minority want to do away with the monarchy doesn't mean they're not entitled to an opinion. It is, after all, a free country.
My opinion is those in direct succession to the throne (and their offspring) should be rewarded for their Royal Duties. Those who will never sit on the throne, however, should take a leaf out of Harry's book and make their own way in the world.

I agree with naomi at 16.29 yesterday. The Queen is toughened by experience - not to say she doesn't hurt inside -and I'm willing to bet that she is very hurt. She will, however act in the best way she can to suit her position and that of the royal family. I've been very critical of some of her decisions in the past, but time has shown that they were the best (although very unpalatable) in the circumstances.
