Just think what those billions could have bought had they not been wasted on Brexit.

I see. Better not to prepare for it. Perhaps you think the same about planning for the coronavirus.
You can still taste sour grapes about Brexit and the election.
Yes, all those protesting about Brexit, contrary to the democratic referendum, cost a lot of money.
people had to know what was going on surely. it does seem a lot of money, but this was a referendum that was a vote for democracy...

Wrong - it was the Tories who initiated the blasted referendum and their fans voted for it like sheep to the slaughter.
not sheep, more a taking back control of our country from a governing body that had no basis in reality...
i voted for Brexit, and am glad that i did.
Since joining the EU this country has contributed half a trillion pounds to the EU - and was a net contributor which means we've contributed far more than we've ever received. Just think what that money could have bought, diddly. Four billion is a drop in the ocean ... and money well-spent.
half a trillion, crikey that could keep our NHS afloat for years, what a waste.

I had no problem with the UK being a net contributor to the EU as we're part of Europe in case you hadn't noticed.
I know you didn't have a problem with it, diddly.... but other people did ... and that's democracy. Get over it.
No need to get over anything, dissent, debate and disagreement are democratic rights.
What are you suggesting? we do no prep at all? just go in blind? that's cost a lot more. Think it through!
"Wrong - it was the Tories who initiated the blasted referendum and their fans voted for it like sheep to the slaughter. " - err I think the sheep are those happy to be governed by unelected foreigners me old china!
//it was the Tories who initiated the blasted referendum and their fans voted for it like sheep to the slaughter.//

But it wasn't only Tory sheep was it? Just because you were happy for the country to donate to the scam doesn't mean everybody was.

Get over Brexit, diddley or you will drive yourself crackers.
Hang on, that as the whole brexit argument wasn't it?

Leave and worry about it later, get it done.
diddly thinks only Tories voted brexit! Oh and no one in Oxford! PMSL

TTT - the sooner you stop twisting things the better.
^^^ hahaha, that’s got to be the quote of the day :0)
what have I twisted? my answers are based on things you have said at some point.
//No need to get over anything, dissent, debate and disagreement are democratic rights.//

True, Douglas - but it strikes me as odd that diddly bemoans the fact that money used to uphold a democratic decision could have been better spent on improvements in this country, and yet has no problem with our money being spent on providing Spain with yet another of its splendid roads.
Cheap at twice the price.
