Re PP's posts, there are some gems in there. A lot goes over my head and I often skim over but there are plenty of insightful points hidden within and some bits that make me smile
I have never had any trouble understanding PP's posts (though the actual science is often over my head, thanks to my spotty education), but I can confirm that he knows more about more things than most ABers.
Once I've read PPs posts a couple of times they sort of make sense and are quite informative.
Anyhoo, on the matter of vaccine trials starting tomorrow, there will be anti-vaxxers as there always has been. Those in favour will outweigh the anti-vaxxers.
They will need more than a few months to know if is safe. But to get even an early stage vaccine to trial this quickly is phenomenal. If we get one that works we have a difficult choice to make. Do we release the process on humanitarian grounds of do we make and sell the vaccine world wide...
