I know what you mean fruit but given the circumstance\nces I think he is doing ok.

The only thing I have a problem with is transparency, and that is not just him. The population should be treated like adults and full explanations of why decisions are made should be given, and not ones using "guess" stats etc. If they dont know because it is new and no one in the World does know then say so, clearly. That would also go a long way to closing down the usual idiots in the MSM.

what makes me uncomfortable is the brain dead journo's with their monumentally stupid questions. Laura Klueless and Robert Plonker are like a couple of 5 year olds. They never ask anything that they should and spend their chances trying to trip up the government. If I were their network boss they'd get the old tin tac aaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh!

The journos are fine - any politician worth his or her weight should expect to get challenged. The problem with Hancock et al is that they rarely answer the question asked.

I don’t really watch these briefings but I’ll endeavour to watch the last one and see what I make of the press - who only get to ask their questions afterwards of course.
My impression has largely been that some of the questions have felt a bit daft and repetitive.

But we’ll see.
I agree that Hancock and co need to start being more straight. I find myself to my horror agreeing with people like Liz Truss and Ian Duncan-Smith about moving things on. Many businesses and factories appear to be reopening anyway. Scotland and N Ireland appear to be giving a clearer view to their people about the next stages. It’s not IMO good enough simply to keep telling people “do what you’re doing”. People will do that anyway ... for now

Yes, I think they could say something about relaxing lockdown without actually saying anything of substance- but I think the spokespersons have realised that if they give a tiny amount of detail they'll be constantly pressed for more details and challenged if not delivered (eg Turkey PPE delivery). There is also the fear that if they flag up a change people will start relaxing before then of their own accord

Businesses and factories started to close even before the pm ordered it, simply because they knew that the government were dragging their heels, they were also gob smacked that they allowed some sporting events to take place, (football racing etc)
