Uk Heads The Table For The Most Deaths In Europe?
Answers
Still dreadful even *with* the size of its population, when you consider that there is more to come. But, yes. It is important to recognise that Spain and Italy may have undercounted deaths, so we may be ahead only due to counting techniques. What is undeniable, though, is that the death toll in the UK is very high, and it is legitimate to wonder if there were...

mozz: "There's nothing "anti-English" (3T's goto phrase for anyone he disagrees with) about demanding action," - I agree and I've never called anyone Anti British for that, or indeed not agreeing with me, they are anti British for trawling around for sticks to beat us with Gromit is the master as illustrated above he always picks the figures that makes us look the worst.

I've been described as "anti-English" here for simply being a remainer, not wanting to see innocent asylum seekers persecuted alongside the bad'uns or for thinking Tommy Robinson is a thug. It's been used (not necessarily by you 3T) on here in the past to describe anyone with a less than right wing attitude.

Teacake, as we have not come across something like this before and any government will always take advice from the medical and scientific experts on what to do then I do not think any party be it tory or labour would have done much different. Where does getting proved wrong time and time again come into this. I believe that if Corbyn had won and then this happened then he would have been dumped as leader anyway as he is too indecisive.
Were all the deaths recorded in our hospitals British citizens or some of the 20,0000 infected and possible foreign Nationals that we allowed to enter without border checks? You know....the border checks that the luvvies call ray cist and disc rim a tory.

@10.23, Emm, is Matt Hancock pondering at his desk at the moment of what excuses he can come up with at his next briefing. I would guess he's going to thank the people of the Isle of wight for their fantastic response to down loading the app, and congratulate then on it being a great success, you can't beat a bit of patter to get though the briefing, plus of course avoid taking about the none 100.000 daily testing, and still the lack of PPE. I would think he will be keeping his fingers crossed that no one mentions the death rate, ( no chance). It also seems very strange to me, that for weeks now some have said what a great job the government are doing, but now are questioning the death rate themselves.?
Comparing countries is pointless. Each counts differently and each has different demographics.
It would be useful for us to put the petty squabbles and political point scoring behind us and get to understand why the figures are high. Just as it appears BAME people are more prone, but we dont know why, we should understand why the English figure is this way. Is it because of us being overweight perhaps, there does seem to be some thought that obesity is a contributor. There are many other things to look at all this politicking is ridiculous.
