Trump has suggested if they don’t get their act together and sort out the riots (note he didn’t say people can’t protest as thats a protected right in the constitution) he will send in the guard to deal with the organised ANTIFA anarchy but have strongly advised the states to do it themselves.
The vast majority of the areas that started off protesting and degenerated to riots are in low economic black areas. They blame Trump. I would suggest they learn to count. Their mostly Democratic Governors, mayors etc etc have been in power for decades. Some for 30, 40 or 50 years. Trump has been in power for four.
But who ya gonna blame? Not ghostbusters that’s for sure.
Everyone wants to blame Trump for Decades old local problems. But it’s an election year and even the Democratic governors have realised they failed with Covid so are now rubbing their hands with glee that there is something new to pin on him.
If you constantly and consistently tell a subset of your population they are overly oppressed and Discriminated against they get to believe it. Why else can you explain why they keep voting in the architects of their own poverty?
But Trump has been in for four years so who ya gonna blame?

I am not really surprised at the civil unrest - there is a group of people who simply wait for a convenient peg on which to hang their pointless and crass anger, at what they simply don't understand.
But if they think that wrecking the homes and businesses of people where they live amounts to a protest about the unjust death of a citizen, they clearly don't understand what protest actually means, and how to go about it.
Clearly - because destruction is not about protest, it's about destruction.

This is as far as I can tell up to date.

American society is broken as far as I'm concerned. We've seen the same thing after the Rodney King affair and then before that in the late sixties. Decades pass and nothing changes. The only point about Trump is that there's an obvious, predictable, and typical uselessness about how he's responding to it.
The delicate balance between the State, essentially representing the interests of the rich, and the mass of the population (in this case the young, the poor, white and non-white), is always fragile, particularly so when the police are armed. Once the mass of any population begin to see the police as the means of repression (think of Northern Ireland), then ‘law and order’ breaks down.
The Emperor has no clothes is a fitting metaphor for this process - not just the emperor, but of the whole apparatus.
