He was responsible for the actions that led to his arrest. The police are responsible for the actions that led to his death. The police should face justice for the crime of killing someone in their custody.

Would you say at the funeral something along the lines of "I miss my deer brother / uncle / father but then again, if he wasn't breaking the law the police wouldn't have murdered him".

This is, incidentally, your own point, and it's a shame that you can't see it. Constantly going on about Floyd shows that what matters to you is that people take personal responsibility for their own crimes. Quite so. The police deserve to take responsibility for their crime.

Can't you see that it is completely irrelevant? I agree that he should never have been portrayed as an angel, as he wad a previous offender, but regardless of why he was there, he should not have been treated as he was.

It's like saying that if Rodney King wasn't drunk driving, he wouldn't have been beaten up by those traffic cops in 1992.

Or, even worse, if a rape victim wasn't wearing a short skirt, she wouldn't have been raped.
