Utter Lunacy 60 Statues To Go
BLM have targeted 60 Statues and Plaques. Their choices are bizzare. Will we now have black stabbing victims picking and choosing what hospitals save their lives. They apparently now don't appreciate Guy's hospital. I am sure Guys didn't turn them away when they were bleeding to death.
Arms manufacture and Engineer Armstrong. Obviously BLM would have sooner lived under a Nazi regime. Armstrong Company manufactured the Armstrong Whiteley Bomber in the 2nd W.W.

Gherkin: 'However, those who are retaliating to the aggressive police presence,' I don't know what you were watching but I saw a bunch of coppers being commendably restrained in the face of extreme provocation. Copers who weren't allowed to wear beat helmets which might have offered some protection. Coppers who weren't allowed to wear crash helmets and...

No one here is implying that the UK police are to blame.
My point was that the American police's actions caused riots in the UK. The protests were peaceful in America until rubber bullets were shot into peoples faces, old men were left bleeding with cracked skulls on the pavement and reporters were tear gassed and assaulted.
This caused worldwide outrage, leading to the events we can see across London.
Monkey see, monkey do. People witnessed the atrocity in America and decided to take part here in the UK. Yes, it is a shame for UK police and I sympathise with them to a degree.
I must say, though. Any ethical issue regarding the horses is on the police. They should not be using them as they do.

I'm sure that police in the UK are held to much higher standards and are much more accountable, but it seems a stretch to say that they are blameless, whiter than white, etc. The death of Duggan, or de Menezes, or the various other deaths in custody, suggest that there is at least some room for improvement.
Horses are an invaluable crowd control aid and have saved many a copper/member of the public from getting a beating at football matches and in the past. I believe they were used on Saturday in the hope that the street could be cleared without using force. In my opinion the flare wielders and bicycle pushers were just waiting for them.
They weren't deployed on Sunday.
Dogs weren't deployed at all out of concern for the public.

// Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right. //

Are the statues for Lenin, Marx, Gandhi or Mandela on the list?
Is the Religion of Peace being singled out for demonstrations or vandalism to its places of importance because of a certain figurehead being the son of a slave owner? Answers on a post card to never never land.
I will never forget the rioting in America, or the copycat wannabe riots over here when that black American footballist murdered his white wife, fled across the Country live on National TV, and was acquitted by the corrupt "justice" system will you?
