I don't really get the argument against unisex toilets/changing rooms. There are mixed gender toilets all over the place in Europe and there have been for years. As for changing rooms - public swimming pools, anyone?
I saw her tweet and thought it was unnecessary to make a point of denying the existence of trans women. There are people born with female bodies who identify as men and they menstruate. I'm not going to pretend I understand what that's like but it must feel pretty crap to constantly have people talking about you like your experience isn't valid or you don't exist.
