15.16 You may be right, but there's been lots of air born diseases/ viruses but not one that's spread round the world like this one, hence my thoughts on this one being harder to wash away, and more likely to be spread by food handling, than a cough or a sneeze.
I’m looking forward to the day when someone in our village street doesn’t look at me aghast and stop stone dead waiting for me to pass (tho maybe that’s nothing to do with the virus lol)
^^ May be you missed paying your round in the village pub? :0)
Erm, not at the moment :-)
So distancing is now like lying . Where you can lie lie but if you can’t lie anyway .

What's the difference between 'shielding' and 'self-isolation'?
Self iso is your decision shielding is government has covered its tracks letting you think they know more than what we know they know .
I honestly don’t think I could have put up with self-“shielding”.
For those that have spent months shut indoors most are either desperate to get out or worse scared about whet will happen at the end of it. Very sad
My husband and I have stuck to all the rules to the enth degree for 12 weeks, whilst witnessing so many people who haven't and have flouted rules from the beginning, but now we will be able to stand in a pub with 20 strangers, but we still cannot pick up and cuddle our 2 year old granddaughter, it's madness! Yes we can visit but how can you socially distance from a toddler?
Has any one mentioned the bookies .I know they are on line does that mean they have be hung out to dry ..
//NJ, you may have "forgotten" the time element but it has been continually mentioned in the social distancing discussions.//

I haven't forgotten it at all, woofy. I don't hear too many other people who swear at me when I pass them in the supermarket aisle of who swerve away from me in the street taking heed of it, though. This entire fiasco has been riddled with information which has been wrongly interpreted and wrongly applied. Worse than that, the government (who did a lot of the mis-interpretation) has done nothing to correct people's misunderstandings. It is that which has made the last three months such a shambles. And that's leaving aside the argument about whether a lockdown at all was the correct approach.
>but now we will be able to stand in a pub with 20 strangers, but we still cannot pick up and cuddle our 2 year old granddaughter, it's madness! Yes we can visit but how can you socially distance from a toddler?

This is a good example of holes being picked unnecessarily. Think it through. You don't have to got the pub with 20 strangers if you don't want to and if you do go you'll be expected to keep 1 metre apart and certainly not cuddle the strangers. You can cuddle your granddaughter if you want to take the risk to her and yourself- you won't be questioned by the police.
yes that's the other thing that was made clear today.....powers are retained to break up large public gatherings but the rules for individuals will not be legally enforced.
Yes, they said that about large gatherings woofgang but in reality the police have not been breaking them up and probably won't because of the risk of the situation getting out of hand- eg the street party in Moss Side that resulted in 2 killings or the raves or the BLM demos
Just hope for Boris,s sake that he gets this one right. If a second wave of covis appears is a few weeks time, then Boris is toast. He is walking the plank at the moment. Good luck Boris,
Gulliver //If a second wave of covis appears //
Both Boris and his scientific advisors have already said that a second outbreak is very likely.
We will probably have an annual wave, like the flu. We will have to learn to live with it, and not hide behind locked doors every time an upsurge happens. My sincere hope is that people start to realise this sooner rather than later.
May save money and make my own coffin :-(
Wonder if Boris is getting his Ideas from Trump. Donald.s latest claim is that Covis has ended in the US.
