Wasnt this the same incompetent who spent £12,000,000 of taxpayers money on a ferry company with no ferries?

He has a few years to go in which to turn things round.
I think the time is due for a Night of the Long Knives, à la Macmillan.
Nobody wins if some of Johnson's loudest supporters on AB are disappointed in him. I couldn't stand the man from the beginning and I'm still disappointed. As danny says, years to turn it around to go, but I think the problem really is that Johnson wanted power for its own sake, rather than for any meaningful reason.

A rare golden nugget of sense from Jim.
One is reminded of the twin pieces he wrote on Brexit, one for one against, as if testing the popularity of each and the suspicion that he was going to go the way his career would most profit by.
Whether true or not
The only Hope I can give to the Blue Woolies , is The Hope of Boris Resigning. But having said that , who could really take over ?.
^^^ and in the grand scheme of things it wouldn't and shouldn't bother anyone choosing to live in another country should it :0/
If Boris goes it will only pave the way for that slimeball Gove. If only Enoch were still with us today!
Well, thanks I guess JD, although I'd like to think that it wasn't quite as rare as all that :)

Are there no sensible Tories anymore?Ruth Davidson is a rare ray of optimism(and delight)up here in Scotland, but in the rest of the UK- zilch. The Labour Party seems to have found a decent leader after the disaster that was the old terrorist apologist, but there is no one in the Tory Party that could be called a leader other than Davidson, and she is leaving.
Biggest Threat to the UK, if ever JRM gets his hands on the Reigns , even a bigger eejit than Johnson.
Most of the sensible Tories didn't stand in December 2019, which doesn't help. Or, perhaps a little more fairly, most sensible Tories have little choice right now but to stand by the leader who, after all, they chose, and who did lead them to a thumping election victory.

I think the greatest loss to the Tory party was William Hague, who became leader way before his time.
Reins, not reigns.
Might not be a bad idea letting "slimeball Gove" take over, first thing he would do is Sack Cummings. that would make him very, very popular amongs his MPs
JD I could not abide Haig, that voice and his condescending attitude was like hearing a finger nail on a blackboard
If Boris should go don't discount Dominic Raab.
And what is your opinion of Enoch, the greatest PM we never had.

Enoch Powell was certainly the wisest politician to ever sit in the HOC,Jackdaw, whether he was leadership material is debateable.Others could make a case for John Smith or Dave Milliband.

Now I know you're having a laugh.
