// My child has a freezer full of home-cooked meals - fish pie, cottage pie, chicken casserole, bolognese ... all chock-full of healthy ingredients. //
How nice for you. Some parents from the poorest homes have to share a kitchen and if they are lucky, they have a fridge that they have to share. Children whose parent are addicts or have mental problems should not be made to suffer because their parents can't cope. As Rowan said however, these are a tiny minority, but should not be forgotten. They should get the most help, while the fat parents who can't cook won't cook need educating on how to budget and cook. Its not the children's fault, but unless something is done they will become fat lazy parents who rely on handouts too.
