Andy, I agree that while you're not entirely to blame, you're always central to events leading to derailment. That's my tuppence worth, but I'm not commenting further unless it's to do with the thread's original topic.

Mozz at 23.15, I am inclined to agree.

It cannot be simple coincidence that trouble follows this man around to the extent that it does.

Supporters and conspiracy theorists will put it down to a plot to shut him up.

However, contrary to the importance he would love to believe he has, I just don't think 'Tommy' merits that kind of attention.
//It cannot be simple coincidence that trouble follows this man around to the extent that it does. //

It isn't a coincidence. He's Tommy Robinson. He's a marked man.
// I just don't think 'Tommy' merits that kind of attention. //

Lol. He certainly manages to grind your gears. Almost appears personal with your fixation.
I think it's time to start ignoring the man. As Andy said, he's unworthy of the level of attention he receives. Look at someone like Paul Golding. He's become irrelevant over the last year, due to his lack of headlines. If only Robinson could suffer a similar fate.
I take it no weapon was found on him? Does he possess slight (sic) of hand? I heard not so as he can pack a punch...
//I think it's time to start ignoring the man.//

Who’s creating the publicity? I wasn’t aware he was at that meeting. I wasn’t even aware the meeting was taking place - and if he hadn’t been targeted I would never have known. How about you?
Retrocop at 23.38 - I can see why you would think that.

But apart from when he crops up on here, and I always pitch in because I despise him, I can honestly say he never crosses my mind, so no, it's definitely not personal I promise.
//Who’s creating the publicity? I wasn’t aware he was at that meeting//

Nor did I, which drives us back to my previous point about the police playing into his hands by acting like they did.
Naomi at 23.37, I would guess on of his 'team's would be sure to alert the media, as you correctly point out, who would know, or even care, unless there is the prospect of a news story, preferably involving violence.

And let's be honest, the chances of violence when 'Tommy ' and friends are out and about seems to be significantly higher than usual, as his history, and record, amply demonstrate.
alot of these posts are not about Tommy R
in fact they are not about anything !

but have fun boys !
///But apart from when he crops up on here, and I always pitch in because I despise him,//

Fair enough. I think we all have gathered you despise him. Whatever any one thinks of him English Justice ,which you used to espouse , should not be abused by targeting a person because of past convictions. That is not how a British Police Foce should operate. The stasi can stay in the eastern bloc. A person is innocent until proven guilty and this character was not even charged. A fact that thus far has been conveniently ignored in the rush to condemn him.
Peter, we've gotten the thread back on track now. If you have anything to add to the Tommy Robinson discussion, feel free to join in, preferably in plain English.
//A fact that thus far has been conveniently ignored in the rush to condemn him.//

Personally, I don't believe I have condemned him for this arrest. To be honest, none of us know the details behind it, so we can't offer anything more than speculation in regards to his arrest.
hi mozza
it strikes me he was fairly arrested
(I cant believe todays police wd caught on it)
that is they had to have a suspicion and it cant be based on colour or past form ( I think )

Marked man - only in the sense that Ronnie Kray was ....
//And let's be honest, the chances of violence when 'Tommy ' and friends are out and about seems to be significantly higher than usual, as his history, and record, amply demonstrate. //

If the police officer commanding the serial was of the same mind as yours then he would of been smarter to hold his serial in reserve rather than stirring up the crowd and exacerbating the situation. He has achieved his aim perfectly if that's what you assume. It would appear that the 'evidence' the arresting officer had got on Robinson would not of convinced the CPS that a charge could be justified in Law.
// none of us know the details behind it,//
yeah wasnt it carrying a knife? ( suspicion of )
Yep as Ladybirder advised about a hundred posts back!
Retrocop at 23.57 - I have no argument whatever with your point - being a self-publishing violent moron does not leave you outside the protection of the law, nor indeed should it.

But if you check back, my only 'condemnation' was speculating that, based on previous form, 'Tommy' was likely to exploit the situation for his own benefit.
// It would appear that the 'evidence' the arresting officer had got on Robinson//wasnt that good

erm dont we arrest people in order to get evidence ?

(I thought the screw jup in the steven laurence case was that the arresting officer used far higher criteria than the law specified. and so the effect was tha the evil knife men cd dispose of evidence whilst sill not arrested )

bit hey - I cd be wrong - I frequently am
So someone earlier mentioned. There are knives and knives.I always carry a small penknife.I don't believe Robinson would carry a blade that contravenes the VCR knowing how quickly he sees the inside of a Black Maria.
