I'm of the opinion that 75% of people who voted, whether it be to stop in, or out hadn't really got a clue of the finer details of what they were voting for, or fully understood the basics. And given that at the actual referendum the polls said remain would win I'm sure we know how much salt to take this with.
Besides the benefits are long term. We're still dealing with EU intransigence and in the process of improvement at present. Of course there'll be a proportion of fainthearted quaking in their boots while the more responsible adults get on with the job.
