I'm of the opinion that 75% of people who voted, whether it be to stop in, or out hadn't really got a clue of the finer details of what they were voting for, or fully understood the basics. ( I include myself by the way), apart from the obvious. Then you have no doubt a percentage that didn't even bother voting because their to busy holding their own lives together in...

// Wonder why Johnson has just pledged £16.5 bn to the Armed forces just before crunch day, 1st jan.//
because
he and others independently of trump and or biden have realised that the cold war is not dead any more
and he has also realised that China in the transition ( power vacuum presently in the US of A ) they can expand very cheaply indeed
and so has Putin in the east ( clearly west for him)
and the lucky lucky poles are feeling the icy siberian draught ....
and this will be Trump lasting legacy

//But I do call a spade a spade,..//
I beg to differ. From reading your post on which I commented (09:01) I think you'd have difficulty identifying a spade from a JCB. Your "calling a spade a spade" seems to consist of simply chucking childish and insolent remarks at anybody who doesn't agree with you. As it happens I don't agree with you but I wouldn't dream of chucking insolent remarks about.
Alas for you, supporters of remaining in the EU lost the vote. You don't have a clue why people voted the way they did. I and others on here have explained why they did often enough and they don't concur with your reasoning. Even when it is explained you don't understand it. But it's water under the bridge; it's done, it's dusted, we've left. Henceforth every problem that the UK faces will be attributed by some to the fact that we left the EU. I can live with that.

// Were the White Rose called 'anti-German'? they were, and yet they were the most PRO-German group in the 30s.//
erm 40s and the suthorities didnt ezactly agree with that one
and we dont know really because
no papers exist
none of the trial
it is all transcription of peoples memories in the late forties
in front of Freisler who was notorious at sentencing people to death whilst shouting at them. The white rose convicts were guillotined later that day
