you can't beat the British pub can you? no matter where you travel to abroad and they try to emulate one, the feel of the great British pub is best

shame that many were closing long before Covid came along. Terrible on the news that pubs in Wales are pouring good ale down the drain, as one pub landlord said its a kick in the teeth for their business. My local i think is shut and even if its open not going to spend 15 quid on a meal that is substandard at best

It's just irritating that American politicians say their 'life journey' could only happen in the USA. Other Western countries have had female leaders, mixed-race leaders etc.

Never EVER been a pub man myself except for lunches and evening meals.
Cant stand the taste of beer, or it's smell.

I don't mind it, having worked in them years ago. One of our locals is part of a hotel chain, and as i said does food, but fish and chips, burger and chips for 15 quid ain't my idea of good value, not if you just want a drink.

I'd rather a wet pub any day than a one selling food Emmie , they've so much more character

our locals i believe are only doing food and a drink. you can't just have a beer or whatever your tipple is

the only reason i go to one, or have done in the past is it has an outside area, a real suntrap in the spring, summer months, sitting inside is like a mausoleum

no it belongs to The Holiday Inn locally. Its very dark and dank inside but a lovely outside space in the warmer weather
