Now I need to put in writing to my DD that I do not want them coming down here to collect me, and that I cannot visit them for Christmas. It's just not worth it. It's very upsetting...these are times I hate being alone. But it will be spring soon. I do not want anyone I know to be a statistic.
My brother is facing the same stateside. There is a gathering planned with several families and I know he's reluctant to take part. I plan to advise him and my SIL not to.
I knew things would get worse when lockdown was lifted.

Piers Corbyn brother of Jeremy is a denier that this covid 19 exists, he has led marches across London and Manchester recently against having the vaccine. If people don't have the vaccine that is there prerogative, but as some have pointed out if they catch it will they go to hospital to have it treated.

Possibly. Though they are more likely not to need hospital treatment. At present the daily admissions to hospital is about 8% of the daily number who test positive. As well as that, of course, there are almost certainly large numbers of people who have contracted the virus but who have not been tested, so the percentage of those catching the virus who need to go to hospital is bound to be much lower.
