….according to polling for the Royal Society for Public Health. //The RSPH chief executive, Christina Marriott, said the results of the polling were highly concerning but unsurprising. “We have known for years that different communities have different levels of satisfaction in the NHS and more recently we have seen anti-vaccination messages have been specifically targeted at different groups, including different ethnic or religious communities … But these are exactly the groups which have suffered most through Covid….They continue to be most at risk of getting ill and most at risk of dying. So the government, the NHS and local public health must rapidly and proactively work with these communities.”//

They're not only putting themselves at risk but others too. Can they be convinced - and if so, how?

I suppose it’s an educational process
Work with a person or organisation they trust to educate and address concerns.
2076 polled, how many of those were of ethnic origin? Say 10% that's a survey of 208 people, hardly representative.
There was a black woman on BBC this morning who said that she was protected by God and couldn't catch any disease!

As the Chief Executive said it has long been known that many people from ethnic minorities are reluctant to accept vaccination.
We don't have to 'educate' people. How many devastating deaths do you want.
The vaccine is to protect the person, rather than "others".
Education, I guess, but also choice.
Part of the cause of the increase in measles cases last year was the refusal by ethnic minorities to have vaccinations. Vaccinations are not trusted.

Clearly we do if you want to avoid those deaths!
it also says people from a poorer background. I don't know the answer to your question i sorry.
Hardly surprising. Ethnic minorities were not too keen to volunteer for the vaccine testing either.
Send them back! That’ll teach ‘em.

I assume that those protected by vaccine have less chance of catching the virus and, hence, less chance of passing it on.
57% of 208 people said they wouldn't take it but 35% of those said they might change their minds. 35% of 104 makes about 36 people of ethnic origin that wont take it. Why are you even discussing it?
One would assume that, there are some who won't have the vaccine that fall outside of the ethnic groups having said that
because those that don;t have it are putting others at risk. Suggest that this is just the tip of the iceberg.
if this country is ever going to get over this pandemic then surely as many people as possible should have it. Its been around a long while now, and we have seen the devastation its caused.
