I wouldn't be all surprised if he decided to go. He's had an awesomely difficult time and, having climbed the greasy pole, he's maybe achieved what he set out to do - getting to the top. He was very resentful that his Oxford mate Cameron got there first. He's also skint so the Blair option of making megabucks in a very short time must be appealing. As for his legacy, he can always say 'he get Brexit done', however vacuous that line. And if he were to go would most people think too badly of him? I think not.

The UK was alerted to Covids potential in late February when it struck Spain and Italy. Boris did nothing for a month. When the virus did get here, thousands of patients were send from hospital to Care Homes full of the most vulnerable, and the resulting death toll put us far above the rest of Europe. It was another terrible error. Big Contracts to combat Covid...

@08.22.Thats the trouble,Emmie.Sturgeon is making a worse hash of it than Bojo, yet you still get the mugs up here in Scotland voting for her.Must be something in the Scottish psyche-"Ach,shes killing us off,not to worry, its only old anti-independence voters she is killing off".
best deal for what.
Gove was running second to Boris, with Hunt in third place. At the final ballot a number of Boris supporters tactically switched their votes to Hunt in order to push Gove into third place to avoid him being in the run-off with Boris.
so if Labour offer a better deal? then you would vote for them
Does the fact that so many refer to this individual as "Boris" mean that he is loved/not taken seriously/what?
He's "Johnson" to me and always will be, whether he stays or goes.
The best deal for me and my family, Emmie.
so not a tory supporter Ken
unless there is a vote of no confidence and the party get rid, but who do you suggest would be a better leader.
Starmer perhaps,Emmie. The last leader Labour had had no chance, especially with his support for terrorists and other fascists.
he hasn;t covered himself with glory yet and wants more devolution for the country
I think emmie means better leader of the Conservatives.
My answer would be: spoiled for choice when you look at the incumbent if not at the options :-)
Tobias Ellwood I’ve always thought should at least be in the cabinet. He was laid into by the Home Secretary the other day for something, which had to be something in his favour :-)
A few of the more able alternatives left sadly.
A new leader if it come about and I don’t think it will unfortunately, would entail a major shake up because it’s hard to see a sensible replacement having much time for a lot of the nonentities in the cabinet
ynna // Starmer perhaps//
Don't think so he is not a very good speech maker and comes across as a bit drab.So far all he has done is complain about everything Boris does, but has no better suggestions as what he should do.For me he is lacking in substance.

No change of leadership, not now,
"So not a Tory supporter Ken." Don't quite know how you came to that conclusion?
I nail my colours to no-one's mast, Emmie. If i think the Tories are offering me a better deal than anyone else, they get my vote. Same applies to any other party.
Anyone with aspirations to replace Boris will, obviously, wait until the Coronavirus problem eases somewhat.
well i don't like Labour particulary Blair and have voted Tory for a long time,
danny that could be a long time in coming
Emmie, it is a toss up which comes first, Coronavirus erradicated or the next General Election.
general election not till 3 years or so..
stop TROB luvvies, Boris will still be around to wipe the floor with Labour at the next election in 2024.
