I think so both sides seem happy as do many commentators, even the ABBC.

Well, it's a damn sight better than no deal, which is the alternative. I get the odea.that some folk would rather that had happened just so they could paint Boris as the villain. He's done a good job in this instance.

My understanding is that every EU member nation has technically always had full access to all fishing grounds within EU waters. However, all of them are bound to stay within certain maximum catch limits (quotas) whether in home waters or other EU national waters - for conservation purposes all fishing is governed by a maximum catch per each species within EU waters regardless of who is fishing - and then some nations have a certain quota allocated for certain species in certain areas of those waters. What has been at issue in the Brexit negotiations is whether the UK was to ban altogether any fishing by non-UK registered vessels in UK waters. That has apparently not happened and, if I understand correctly, under this agreement EU vessels will reduce their total catch in UK waters by 25% over five years.
Corby scroll down to what Boris said about fishing control.

The PM said, "We will be an independent coastal state with full control of our waters, with the UK share of fish in our waters rising substantially from roughly half today to closer to two thirds in five and a half years' time"
That's a rise from about 50% to 66% over five and a half years. A sixteen percentage point increase sounds small considering all the hoohah over quotas.
ROY, have you seen the full agreement yet? If no, how can you or anyone of us say it is good or no?
