I think so both sides seem happy as do many commentators, even the ABBC.

Well, it's a damn sight better than no deal, which is the alternative. I get the odea.that some folk would rather that had happened just so they could paint Boris as the villain. He's done a good job in this instance.

What about all the increased checks and paperwork? That will come at a cost that will either have to be deducted from profits or added to the prices of products.
Corby, you are determined to show this as a bad deal.Like all of us you will have to wait and see.I will now leave you to it,

The alternative would have been staying in the EU single market and customs union and not being able to make trading agreements with the rest of the world.

Aye, he's sounding very SNPish
Unless of course, he wanted a hard Brexit?
I'm not greatly exercised over this deal's merits or not, what I await with interest is whether Brexit turns out to be worth it. For that the wait is much longer than that for the details of the wording, it is years and probably as much as a decade for the conclusive evidence when even those harbouring religious fervour will at least acquiesce in silence.

I thought that you and all the other "Warden Hodges" wannabees were in favour of all that guff.

It has only taken 4 years to get you to this point. I think that this is as far as you are capable of travelling. Please alight the bus at the nearest exit, and mind how you go.
Does this mean we’ll have to increase the size/capacity of our fishing fleet to cater for the increased quota? (Not necessarily a bad thing I have to say.)
So now we know - there is an almighty who decides every aspect of our fate.
I haven’t read it yet.

LJ: "A very nasty political move on behalf of the French imo. Nothing to do with the virus and health. That was just an excuse. " - sorry what did the French do? missed that.

typical TCL more interested in semantics over 0.02% of GDP than the big stuff. If it was left up to your lot TCL we'd still under the EUSSR jack boot.

bang on Mozz, BA, the voice of reason.
//sorry what did the French do? missed that.\\

Stopped all the cross-channel ferries.
Arrods - yes, part of the bung on that is that No 10 is making a 100 mln available for the fishing industry - that should buy 50 decent size boats, if not closer to a hundred....
I think it took to long and most of the agreement is begrudged to the other party .Think they should have sat down years ago and agreed to talk and agree what was best for everyone not this I won ,coming from both sides .can we now know who really done the deal Boris in the photographed holding the phone stunt or others.
"typical TCL more interested in semantics over 0.02% of GDP than the big stuff."

You were interested enough in that 0.02% of GDP to start a thread about it, "Why Does The E U S S R Think It Has A Right To Our Waters?"
Question Author
yes that's because I was trying to get an answer to that question.
Since it's such a small contribution to the UK's GDP, why were you bothered about EU access?
