Biden started the night at 1/4. 3am here, Trump was 1/3.
The only reason Trump didn't go into the lead was they wouldn't call Florida for him though everyone knew he had won it.
Every pundit in the US said we can never listen to the polls again.
Around 3am, the US left wing sites that I was following were cursing the DNC for picking another 'no-hoper' like Biden. Crying stuff like 'My God, they can't even pick someone to beat Trump'
When Jim went to bed Trump was hundreds of thousands of votes ahead in the remaining states. It really was all over, as they say.

And then they stopped* the count simultaneously in the half dozen states all the fuss is about.
* They pretended to stop the count, threw all the independent count checkers out and locked the doors, and then proceeded to count the special votes. Astoundingly, they all happened to be for Biden, none for Trump.
I know it's hard to believe the crudity of what they did. But I believe they thought they had the fix in early but they hadn't counted on Trump getting more votes than any other candidate in history. So the crude last minute scramble had to be resorted to.
Anyway, it's history now and as Jim says verboten to even mention it.

I don't think anyone is pro Trump, I'm certainly not, it's just that the alternative and his vice person is too horrible to contemplate for the reasons outlined by Tambo and the likelihood they will provoke civil war.

Spicerack's narrative is still massively inaccurate. What happened is that later on postal votes started to be counted. Funnily enough, they would have been added to the totals much faster, but in several States, Republicans had decided that they were to be counted last.

This was, in fact, entirely expected and the narrative for how the vote count would go, at least broadly, had been well-known beforehand. Not the exact totals, of course, but the idea that many postal votes would be counted late and would break for Biden was to be expected -- because Democrats had been encouraged to vote that way, while Republicans had been discouraged to do the same.

There is no mystery, or steal, or conspiracy, and it's not "verboten" so much as pathetic to continue to insist otherwise.

Spicerack: I'm afraid your account of events is totally bogus. You should be able to find reputable news sources that verify that your assertions are baseless. And, of course, Trump's efforts to challenge the results in several states were rebuffed, not by 'the Left' but by state law officers. Your allegations about vote-counting simply didn't happen. It is Fake News!

I think you will find all reputable news sources are in on the conspiracy Sparta... if there's proof that the steal happened then good; if there's no proof then the lack of proof is only more evidence that the steal happened!

I watched far more coverage of the US election than was good for me, and I don't remember any such thing happening.
I'd never paid much attendance before, and I must say I now have a much higher opinion of the US system then ever I did before. It's almost comically scrupulous and open.

To Jackdaw's claim that there were 24,000 votes, all for Biden: I too recall something like this. It was a data entry error, ie the count for Biden was updated and then entered before the corresponding votes for Trump were added to the official total.

As is usual, there's no need to attribute to conspiracy what can be explained by incompetence.
