But your right that the estimates have risen to 20% even tho the official T&T figure is under 5%. If a get chance will look into this, there was a study of a group a something like 100000 people doing regular virus and antibody tests on . Will dig something out

No way do I agree with what these pair have done, at worst they could have been involved in an accident and needed hospital treatment. But then on the other hand you have football teams, and all their spare parts, trainers, medical teams, reserves, all being allowed to travel long distances to matches? Then if you think back to the beginning of this pandemic when people were (advised) not to travel, or go away on holiday, lots of folk ignored that advise??
There's nothing at all wrong in travelling by car. I've had an email this morning from the US by a friend who has just driven "1,760 miles" from Santa Fe to Houston & back without being in close contact with anyone but the person he had to see there. You can get petrol from pumps by card & take your own food.
If everyone could be trusted to behave sensibly there would be no problem.

But they can’t of course.
As I’ve said before, close-up the rules make debatable sense. You have to take a general view. If there was no duke about travelling, regardless of the risks, more people generally worked do it.
It’s possible to break the rules and be safe if you’re sensible but you can’t legislate for that sensibly.

Yes a long drive to say Scottish lakes would be nice but its against the rules even tho in theory we might meet noone. But rules after be simple,we cant unfortunately say just do whats sensible because it could lead to all sorts as some are selfish and noone could be charged. Stay at home except for leaving for essentials
@15.50 Why are footballers not a good example. They mix and shop like the rest of us, and we are not just talking of top footballers are we? If one of their coaches crashed on the way to a match, your talking a lot of injuries. And many see football as unnecessary, what they see is footballers enjoying their game with no restrictions unlike other peoples restrictions on what they want to do, plus theirs many footballers who have tested positive regardless of the testing twice a week as you say. Smaller clubs can't afford such expensive private testing can they?
