Mother = Birthing parent! Breast feeding = Chest feeding! For gawds sake how far are we expected to go to accommodate these people?

I'm sure someone dreams up this crap for a reaction TTT
Well, it is in Brighton.
Just don't use the terms suggested. Simple.
I would have said that you couldn't make it up, but obviously someone has. What a load of male reproductive glands!
what a load of nonsense, can't they leave well alone.
i'm confused, i've checked the date and it isn't april 1st

TBF this has got the LibFac's - taking offence on behalf of a group they think might be offended - stamp all over it. I doubt any TG person actually complained.
Ridiculous
I didn't think it was possible for the chest to produce breast milk...

why does it matter? The people involved in the process will use the terms they choose, the rest of us needn't do anything.
> Mother = Birthing parent! Breast feeding = Chest feeding!

I don't expect midwives to start calling mothers "birthing parents", but perhaps midwives have been unsure what to call a woman who has transitioned to a person with a beard and had their boobs removed/flattened but their reproductive organs and feeding apparatus preserved so they can have children and naturally feed them. "Birthing parent" and "chestfeeding" works then, but not really needed for a woman that hasn't had all of that done.
Not fussed tbh and there's nothing to stop anyone using the existing terms.

I think the last time I got massively peed off was over product name changes like Marathon to Snickers and Opal Fruits to Starburst. No point in fighting it though.

I agree with ellipsis.
I am not sure that I will ever find myself in a position where I will ever have to use either term, but those who may do have now got some sort of guidance.
^ i'll remember to use the phrase 'chest feeding' next time i meet someone of that disposition . . .
crossed posts jack, great minds and all that :-)
More fantasies and lies.

ellipsis: 10:39, if they gave birth they are a mother, end of.
probably terribly discriminatory but can't help feeling queasy for the baby who latches on and ends up with a mouthful of chest hair.......
TTT, once the word "mother" or "woman" no longer exists... it would be a bit of a shot in the foot. Who would they pretend to be then? Or vice versa.
