The Sunny-Uplands Of Brexit
During January of this year, Beef exports to the EU fell by 91.5%, Cheese by 85.1% and Pork by 86.9% - some exports such as breeding animals, seed potatoes and certified seeds stopped entirely – with a total loss of export value of around £100 million (source: Private Eye).

I suspect there is a serious flaw in that logic.//
There would be if it was quoted correctly. You will notice (thoough have conveniently ignored) that I qualified my support for Brexit by saying that I wanted my wish of Brexit fulfilled "...almost regardless of any outcome that could reasonably be expected to happen."
Our exports to the EU are not likely to drop permanently to zero under any reasonable scenario. If you believe they will show me an authoritative report that suggests that will happen. What is currently happening is that one or two EU countries - in particular our nearest mainland neighbour - have got the hump because we have left. They are trying to make the outcome appear as poor as possible for us so as to discourage any other member from attempting the same. As with "Project Fear" v1 during and after the referendum campaign, the Eurocrats and Euromaniacs majored not on why membership is so grand but on why leaving is so bad. A poor strategy in my opinion and one which will come back to bite them.
As soon as the Parisiennes return to normal life and they find that their favourite eateries are not stocked with the UK produce that they enjoy, M. Macron will be brought to his senses and they will ask our exports to them to resume. With any luck our exporters will have found other markets by then and they will have to whistle.

Prince Charles started the Home Farm project years ago with the aim in mind to produce Organic foods and carrying out organic sustainable agriculture. He does have an income from the produce sold but pays a lot in tax ---voluntarily.
Any profits go to supporting charities , educational classes and many other projects .
He is very highly thought of by his tenants in the Duchy of Cornwall.

TTT at 1.38pm "....and no one who voted remain will ever acknowledge it's working."
Err - I will!
I voted remain, and to this day can still remember as though it were yesterday flipping open my laptop the morning after the vote and saying "F Me - they've only gone and won".
I'm still not 100% convinced, but I am now questioning whether I was wrong, which has been brought about by the utterly disgraceful way the EU has behaved over the vaccines.
The UK vaccine roll-out is an undeniable success story, and even the most ardent remainers should surely concede this point (if they can't or won't, they're just being contrary for the sake of it), whereas the EU's has been an utter shambles, brought about by their insistence of bargaining, whereas the UK, now free to do what we want, negotiated early, secured deals early, and secured deals with deadlines. The shambles in the EU is due to their prevarication, and then they try to put hijack legally enforceable commercial contracts, which is an utter disgrace.

anneasquith, it is just a case of gulliver puts threads on or posts on other ones and when he is asked for an answer or an explanation to what he has put he ignores it. He justs comes on to try and wind people up. From his aptitude to people on here he gives the impression of being the person you would cross the road so you didn't have to speak to him.
Much earlier in this thread I asked what trade deals had Liz Truss managed to get for the UK. I got one three-month old Express article describing her hopes, but I spotted nothing else. In the interests of someone presenting a bit of pro-brexit evidence, can anyone update us please on the tangible benefits (other than psychological benefits arising from a sense of freedom from something or other).
Naturally it would temporarily drop as a new status quo develops, and whilst a federal block with a grudge tries to be as awkward as they can get away with. But that's minor compared with the gains of getting out of an unelected federal block who dictated to you.
Who amongst us would be stupid enough not to vote to get out ? Surely they will be trying to stay out of the spotlight by now.
