Surprised that a former PM acted in such a cavalier manner when he knew full well the risks of exposure. You really would think he'd know better.

Mr Cameron has suffered from the same affliction that occurs with the status of high power - the belief that anything is acceptable. Of course he has been exposed on this occasion, and found to have acted inappropriately, although not illegally. Because no law has been broken, an enquiry will simply reiterate that, there may be a tightening of the rules,...

Not the same at all. I would expect you to know better so hence the comment to you.

youngmaf: You're wrong. Re-read the comment. It means we are entitled to expect better of people who should behave in a better way.
Boris has now rejected the investigation, saying '
"It won't do a blind bit of good" what he means by that anyone can guess. ...... End of ......
Gulliver, wrong again. What Boris was referring to was the Labour demand for a wider enquiry.

Danny, there won't ever be an investigation .'and if ever there is, What do you think the answer will be ?.
one can only wait and see.
Gulliver, if you checked the link you would have seen that the investigation is under way .
I shouldn't think there's any more room under the carpet to sweep any more crap out of sight.
Bet Cameron is laughing his socks of , he knows the whole thing is a charade.
It is not surprising that Cameron broke no laws... he and his ilk wrote them.

Nothing will come of this sadly and it will be dismissed until the next lobbying scandal... and the next... and the next...
I notice the con lovers are staying well clear of this thread, think some might just be looking:0)))
Agree with untitled @13.44
T/C 13.46, as they did when you posted on the same subject. Last Sunday.
I would be more bothered by the thousands of job that are in jeopardy now that Greensill is collapsing . Devastating for the steel industry.
The pool of (slimey) frog spawn I saw the other day while walking along a canal reminded me of the cons.
better frog spawn, than anti semites and terrorist lovers. see we all play that stupid game.
// As AH has said, no law broken so nothing can really be done about this other than tighten the law for future PM's//

nope quite wrong in general
Doctors nurses teachers lawyers barristers - all have professional regulators who wag their fingers at this sort of thing

so it is NOT true to shrug, suck air in froo teeth and whimper well what can be done

specifically I cant think that politicians can sensibly have a regulator

why did Cameron over-ride his sense of honesty and propriety that Eton and Oxford inculcates
I can think of 65 000 000 reasons
dsicgraceful
Our so called betters, are not better, they are just so accustomed to being better self servers.
In Boris's own words "Now is the time to throw a dead cat on the Table" .. Wait and see .. He will come up with something to distract the public, and get this lot swept under the carpet.

teacake: I'm a Tory and think Cameron probably acted very badly.
