How can they possibly find him anything other than guilty of murder? Having listened to the summing up, even if you put aside the problems it would cause on the streets if he was found not guilty, the evidence was so compelling that he must surely be found guilty.

perhaps, however there would be large scale riots, civil unrest beyond words had he got off.
blimey and today.....

did you see them shooting the girl brandishing a knife?

after London Bridge they would have done that here .....
my point was, if the police shoot any black person again even if they are armed and shooting back, the police will still be pariahs and murderers.. egg shells
Chauvin didn’t shoot George floyd .
No doubt the defence will appeal the verdict. This could run and run.

"Either way the placards raised during the aftermath of the trial of a polis may read 'Chauvinist pig'."

I think, "Chauvin awa" is more appropriate now...
"did you see them shooting the girl brandishing a knife?

Lee Rigby's murders were brandishing knives and they weren't shot like they damn well should have been!
*murderers*
Chauvin bravely accepted consequences; shame Floyd didnt.

"If you dont want time dont do the crime"
//Chauvin bravely accepted consequences; shame Floyd didnt.//

How exactly should Floyd have accepted the consequences? By shutting up about that not breathing rubbish and die quietly?

Also Chauvin didn't have much choice about accepting the consequences. He was found guilty, like all convicted murderers.
Floyd should have accepted his arrest, got into the police car & he would have lived. He brought all this on himself!
How was Floyd supposed to do that when he couldn't breathe?
And accept consequences of what?
No proof of any crime, passing a forged £20 - I have done that myself, unknowingly, with one that came out of an ATM!

It appears from the wording of your post that Mr Floyd invited and encouraged the violence that resulted in his death.

Fortunately, the law, and the jury, didn't see it that way.

I would agree that Mr Floyd was involved insofar as his criminal action led to his being detained by the police.

However, I don't believe he can be held responsible for an officer acting wtih entirely inappropriate and unjustified violence in terms of aprehending him, such that the action led to his death.

Floyd did do the time for his crimes tambo... he spent several years in prison and expressed remorse for what he had done. He couldn't very well get into a police car when he was on the ground being throttled to death by Chauvin...
tamborine - // Chauvin bravely accepted consequences; //

I found it quite chilling how Mr Chauvin simply stared from above his mask, with no discerable expression or emotion being exprerssed.

// ... shame Floyd didnt. //

I'm not sure how you 'bravely accept' that you are going to have the life crushed out of you by someone who is supposed to be upholding the law, and you can't ask for help - perhaps you can educate me on how that's done.
Apparently Chauvin had a number of disciplinary cases against him over the years. I heard someone mention this on GMB this morning and I don't have a link.

He wasn't exactly squeaky clean before murdering GF.
Shouldn’t want to be Floyd’s brothers now, they’ll need to be squeaky clean.
I think that Peter at 12.23 is referring to this:
How can he be found guilty of manslaughter together with 2nd degree murder and 3rd degree murder?
I agree with tambo.......no one doesn't deserve to die in such circumstances, so to avoid that, black or white, whichever part of the world, obey the instructions of the police.
