Spicey - where do you get your knowledge of Turkish brothels?
Still an opulent building though.

I think 30k is enough and should only be a one off, not annual.
what about a change of furniture, its not all about the wall paper, out with what Mrs May had, and in with what Boris and Carrie want surely.
Still stuck on the decorating theme? The problem is the bung!

There have been 55 Prime Ministers of the UK. Somehow, this issue has not cropped up before ...
Your mum, dave.
Absolutely. And it doesn't come cheap.

People need/want things to their own tastes, especially in stressful jobs. The need to be able to relax in your own home.
what about the Lord Chancellor to Blair, didn't he redecorate his offices, costing many thousands of pounds, who picked up the tab then,
"Your mum, dave."

Haha - unlikely, my mum was a weaver in a cotton mill for 45 years!
exactly ummmm, which makes sense, especially if they are going to entertain there too -
;-)
Boris did pay the bill but with someone else’s money
Methinks
Emmie and Ummmm, so why not take some of their 'comfortable' furniture from 'home' and move it into number 11?
And, yes Ellipsis, i know the row isn't about the decor, but if their (Carrie's) tastes hadn't been so extravagant, they could have stayed within the £30K allowance and there would have been no problem.
all money used to be someone elses
as i said before the taxypayer picks up the tab, or danny's suggestion Boris puts in the bill for the works, and Parliament agrees or not. Boris can't win lately, he should be able to concentrate on higher things, not this matter - i don't know why its made such a noise.
Maybe they did, Ken. I'm assuming this flat is quite large.
I agree with Emmie. He should stop telling porkies and get on with 'getting things done'.
where does Boris live, does he actually own property, i know he was married and is now divorced.
Then that makes it even worse, Ummmm. IMVHO, of course.
> Your mum, dave.

LOL! Love it.

And as long as we're not going to make this thread about the actual issue, let's have a few more Turkish brothel jokes. The decorating stuff is like watching paint dry.
Didn't he and Carrie but a £1.5M mansion?
