have they still got that statue of Robin Hood in Nottingham?
In a civilised society, we should not be venerating the life of a petty criminal drug dealer, no matter how tragic his or her death was.
Ahh. Censorship. The blight of our age. Thanks Answerbank!
….. my bad.
i don't think one should be venerating the likes of George Floyd, but his death was indeed a tragedy, and the culprits will go to jail for a long time. I know this is primarily about BLM, but its time to move on.
// I imagine there are far more worthy citizens of Norwich who may deserve that honour.//

yeah - - like?

I was gonna say the Emperor Claudius for one
but that was Colchester (nearish)
"Charles Clarke, Labour MP and former Home Secretary, lives in Norwich. Cathy Dennis, famous Songwriter was born in Norwich in 1969. Stephen Fry, studied at Norwich City College, and later went to Cambridge. Sir John Mills, born in North Elmham in Norfolk."

well you can see why they chose George Floyd
ter daaah !

(I am - I am taking this seriously, as seriously as anyone else here)
// Nah, condemnation of coppers who think they're above the law.//

The thirty year unsolved murder ( ferty years I hear you all cheer)

\\I don’t approve of any violence webbo. I don’t believe in murder either//

Do you approve of glamorising it?
Webbo. Sorry, a senseless question IMO .

But you won't give an answer as to whether it appropriate or not.
How is this "glamorising" murder webbo? As far as I know, Floyd, despite his life of crime, wasn't a murderer, but a murder victim.
Why celebrate the life of a murdered American criminal in Norwich?
Absolutely ridiculous and I couldn't care less that he's dead !! His death wasn't a tragedy to me emmie, but the likes of little Jordan Banks was, who was struck by lightning. His death should be commemorated every single day imo.
Ludicrous. Glad I don’t pay taxes to
Norwich City Council.
//Why celebrate the life of a murdered American criminal in Norwich?//

There's this thing called a "bandwagon", spungle.
BLM have certainly got on it NJ.
The city hall will be decked in yellow, pink and turquoise ?
Why? Norwich is 3000 miles or more so for who or what is the celebration ?
For a man no one is likely to have ever met in this country , let alone Norwich!!!
Why don’t they just say it’s a BLM celebration and be done with it !
because they won;t Bobbi.
