A Tragedy All Round,
this is an appalling story, and one that should be out in the open, upwards of 250 thousand women over three decades forced to give up their babies, because they were born out of wedlock. I watched the news on BBC, where i couldn't find a link but the Guardian has run it.

When she started to "show" - head nun had a meeting with her and told her she (nun) could get the little baby adopted. Friend went nuts but she was moved to another school establishment so nobody could see that she was pregnant. That baby is just only 34 years old. My friend herself was an orphan and had to look after 4 younger siblings. She did it get very hard. But now lives in Australia with her own family of 5.
