With Covid cases rising in Uk due to the Delta Variant. Imperial College London has predicted the trend will continue to spread, as England prepares to lift Remaing lockdown restrictions. Is Johnson smart enough to continue lockdown ?.

The only reason the delta version is in the UK is because of Boris's lazy late response, (again) lazy, sloppy, erratic responses by Boris and his gold diggers are the reason the British people are paying the price. gets more virulent - because it has to do that to survive in a post-infected or vaccinated ( = post infected to Abers! and others who never finished school ) population as the epidemic goes on - or else it dies out. ( alternatively as Theland would say - because it is god's plan)

That's not strictly true, tc. The delta variant is now in Australia and they have maintained one of the strictest border control regimes in the world throughout the pandemic. The bottom line is that it is simply impossible to prevent viruses of any variation from spreading.

However, I do agree that the relaxations being afforded to football are ridiculous. But that's not for the reason that most people think. I believe that all restrictions should by now have been lifted. But they haven't and to continue those restrictions whilst allowing 60,000 to attend a football match and to allow 2,500 "VIPs" to enter without quarantine is treating the UK people with contempt.

I can fully understand the E/U and the rest of Europe wanting to keep the Brits and the Delta variant out....
After all the UK wanted exit and wanted to stand alone The rest of Europe are just helping them , whilst trying to keep Delta out of their own Country.
