I'm not sure it's just about the deaths. It's how people are dying of it. It sounds horrendous. To me it sounds like people feel like they are drowning. The fear and panic must be immense.

Question Author
16.08 UK Covid cases up by 40% in just one day.
When this virus struck we had no defence from it whatsoever other than a lock down the latter is now and should be obsolete. The only protection you can get for any virus, or hope for, is a vaccination, we have several, and come what may that is now our first and only defence. The media have now got their hands on some more info to keep the ball rolling on and on, the so called delta plus variant, well well well who would have though it, lets all lock away again shall we, and wait for the next new one. Take your vaccine and take your chance or you may as well curl up and die, because you will wait a long long time before Boris and his government see any sense.

When do you think Boris will give Hancock the push then Teacake?.
Well at the moment Hancock seems to be keeping his head down waiting for more than one or two things to blow over. When someone gets the push like Cummings did you then get to hear the real truth, and yes it is sour grapes but nevertheless that's when the truth comes out, it happens in all working situations.

18.16 T/C, Do you think Matt will try and damage Boris when he gets the push, or will the Con Party pay him a Hefty hush bonus.?
-- answer removed --
Both, may be that's why Cummings came clean he didn't get his second installment.

18.26,Cummings only had a £100. 000 severance pay T/C Guess he soon got through that.
16.08 UK Covid cases up by 40% in just one day.

Indeed. And deaths decreased by 30% in the same day. Never a good idea to look at a single day's figures. Best to look at seven day averages.

In fact, since 1st June, infections have risen by 177,432 (3.95%) whilst deaths have increased by 245 (0.19%). Of those 177k cases, around 3,000 (about 1 in 80) people ended up in hospital.

//It's how people are dying of it.//

Yes, some people suffer dreadfully. In the same way patients suffer dreadfully from heart problems and cancer, and many of them are remaining undiagnosed and/or untreated. So what's the answer, ummm? Stuff happens, I'm afraid, and it doesn't only happen to Covid sufferers.

Boris needs to tread carful here, The Delta version is only moderately resistant to vaccines.
No jabs, done nothing differently the last year and half. Continued working (no clap for me through the pandemic)
Used public transport, shopped as usual, had to mix with others due to the nature of my job,
AND get branded as a spreader!

Thanks.

Can you make a note of everything you eat and drink for a week , and I wiil see if I can get tablets made from it.
//The Delta version is only moderately resistant to vaccines//
Have you got a link gulliver as the scientists might be interested. Maybe you misread or misunderstood- easily done for some
//19.19 You are one of the lucky ones nailit//
Me and thousands of others then...
Trouble is Nailit you may of spread it without knowing. But more likely you've been lucky and been one of the 90% or somwhove avoided the virus, but theres still time as infections are rising fast, especially among the unvaccinated. Theres well over 100000 who arent around in UK anymore whose famlies wish they could of had a vaccinne
Question Author
It seem that only one dose of vaccine is not enough to combat the delta variant , the quicker Boris can roll out those second doses the better for UK
