Thoughts And Prayers To
1. What would you suggest Lee Anderson does for a couple of hours tonight as England play their biggest football match in over fifty years?
2. If he's so offended by players taking the knee, why not just not watch the opening and tune in at the start of the match???
3. Is he a snowflake?

One of the reasons that England has done better this year is that they've been more of a team, standing up for each other, and less a collection of individuals as in the past. Nice to see so many people supporting their team, too. Obviously not Lee Anderson, poor chap, but I'm not sure that anybody will miss him ...

Lee Anderson has had an unusual career path.
He was a long standing Labour member and Labour Councillor for many years. But he was not liked by his fellow councillors who deselected him in 2018. So he defected to the Conservatives and was elected as a Tory councillor in May 2019. In December they selected him to be the Conservative candidate in the General Election and he won the seat which had previously been Labour.

Well he’s said what he’s going to be doing: following the game and “supporting” England and probably letting everyone else know about it too.
Not a snowflake, but an irritating attention seeker by the sound of it.
And if Keir Starmer had any sense he’d have ignored it rather than give him what he obviously wants

But he’s going to be following the game!
Just not watching it.
And all because for 2 seconds the team he professes to “support” are making a gesture which he’s been repeatedly reminded is NOT what he claims it is.
All of which is his right of course but I personally think he’s making himself look ridiculous

Sp, while I agree with you, you are coming across as a total hypocrite. Which I never thought you were. You understand that black people are disproportionately affected by violence and unfair treatment, historically and still now. And, rightly, stand up for it. But at the same time, try to argue away women's rights to achieve the same for exactly the same reasons. Or even talk about it.
Surprising and disappointing.

I suggest he watches a film as I'm going to do (so long as he has one recorded that is) !
He wants to protest at taking the knee and he obviously thinks the best way to do this is not to watch the match at all - his prerogative.
No, he is NOT a snowflake, just a man defending what he thinks is right - good for him ...
