Everyone condemns the abuse after the game including the HomeSec. Yet that's not good enough because she correctly condemned the kneeling cobras as "gesture politics". Some footballers got abused after missing penalties, she gets vile sexual and racist abuse every day and she's the bad guy! Unbelievable!

the whole kneeling thing is an embarrassing, ridiculous and probably counter productive activity. Just makes those partaking look complete idiots. It started years before the death of George F anyway but seems to have been adopted by all and sundry. It is 100% gesture politics.

The gesture of "taking the knee " seems to signify different things to different people.
To me it suggests subservience to the black community and in no way do I feel subservient to them.

Crikey! There’s spin for you! Because she disagrees with something he approves of, she’s wrong on all counts. The ridiculous habit of ‘taking the knee’ is, as she says, gesture politics - and as TTT says, embarrassing - but she’s quite right to speak out against the subsequent abuse these players received. He, like many on this woke bandwagon, want it all ways.
