Women Need To Be Streetwise About The Powers Of Arrest And Learn Legal Process....apparently.
Is the criticism currently being levelled at Commissioner Philip Allott justified, or is he simply speaking common sense?

I think few people, if confronted by a policeman would be sure of their legal footing. Seems like an example of victim-blaming.

danny - // Women need to be streetwise to a certain extent ... // And that statement simply adds to my argument. Why do women have to be 'streetwise to a certain extent', when men clearly do not? And is that acceptable? My point is that they should no more have to be streetwise' than any men, and that society thinks it's OK to confirm that they should, is what is wrong...

// // ... and this is not about me so kindly keep the personal remarks out of it. // and the stunning answer:
I hardly think that you are in a position to call anyone out for 'personal remarks' - I thought the same (*)
irony klaxon - pot and kettle - but hey these things allow the rest of us to have a good laugh on sunday
I note the authorities are wheeling back on advice of questioning authority.....
plain clothes man: get in my car handcuffed?
young leddy - for it is she: does your mother know you are doing this?

I repeat AH, you won't educate the already uneducated, and sadly there are thousands of uneducated males, and females about, and thousands more being made every day by the uneducated. By bashing the police force will not solve the problem, although Boris's remarks in the last 24 hours seems to think so. Having a child/ baby is no different to buying/ having a young puppy dog, 12/13 old. The first few weeks of ownership can be one of fun allowing the puppy to settle in and be happy in its new surroundings. But there comes a time when the puppy will need discipline, training, and education implementing, the longer that's delayed the harder the job becomes. If its never implemented, then that puppy will grow into a nasty uncontrollable destructive animal, that can never be educated in the rights and wrongs. The police are now faced with thousands of these un-trained animals on our streets, and many more being born every day. Is this really the fault of the police? NO. But the under staffed police are left with the problem.
