Let's get some perspective here, distressing that His Reduced Horror and HRH The Duke of Californian. Suspectx must have been to the Queen, the loss of Phil the Greek much more damaging, - she has incredibly close relationships and support with the Duck and Duckess of Cornwall, P-Anne and her Rear Admiral and their tribe, the future Duck and Duckess of Edinbourg and Prince William and his crew.....

Whe's done
Yes, it's horribly hard for the Queen. It is, of course, also yet another threat to the stability of the monarchy. I only hope that this is finished with before her Jubilee. Hark at me! I'm not really a monarchist, but I do think that, on balance, it is better to have them than not. Right now I would defend the Queen to the end.

Andrew wasn't the only brother to serve militarily, I think. Didn't Prince Charles captain a ship in the Cod Wars? Anyway, the regiments he was associated with will be very happy to lose him.
Speaking as a Yorkshirewoman -- is there any way to stop him being Duke of York?
DTC 20:29 - Have you caught whatever it is PP suffers from?
Spungle @ 20:09 - While I agree that HRH deserve much better than this, that sounds like Morgan using events to take another dig at the Sussexes. He never misses an opportunity to have a pop at his arch-nemesis, Meg.
Mozz, if you mean the Queen, she's HM not HRH.
// A shame about losing the military titles - they're fairly bogus anyway, along with all the ribbons the royals wear, but Andrew had actually been in a war, like his grandfather but unlike the rest of his family.//
You seem to have forgotten his father as well.
In fact, it's just another nasty little dig from you that doesn't stand up to any scrutiny whatsoever.
Try to remember you're not talking to fellow ignorant lefties here.
Yes I did jno. I realised my mistake as soon as I posted and wondered who'd pick up on it first ;-)
You seem to have forgotten his father as well

I certainly have forgotten which war Field Marshal/Admiral Charles fought in, Spicerack. Care to remind me, you highly knowledgeable righty?
// Have you caught whatever it is PP suffers from?//

eek - its worse ! - but as eny fule kno ( thx to Molesworth) passage frooa human host makes a disease worse
// Mozz, if you mean the Queen, she's HM not HRH.//

jno - proles all of them, just ignore

oo have you got PP's disease?- foo! one of the usual suspects whines

i wish the little blighters had - - then I could understand them instead of wading froo primary skool errors.....
translation - nay clarification - of DTC

"The image of her Maj has been dragged thro the mud by her awful grandchild Harry and now her fave son Andy
but she will be supported by the others - Charlie boy and Anne and respective spouses"

and no: I think dtc has not been / wasnt fave son
I think it is terrible for a parent to witness a fave child really screwing up

( you know like fr'instance - fave child going to uni comes back home and says " I am not going to uni: I am going to have a baby" and you cant really bring yourself to say - - well that's almost as good!)
Be quiet, jno. You haven't got a clue what you're talking about.
no, I haven't got a clue what you are talking about, Spicerack.

What exactly have I forgotten about Andrew's father? What war was he in? Come along, you hypocritical heap of historicity, answer the question!! On one side of the paper.
Eh, WW2.
// I can't think that an American Court will see this development as anything whatsoever to do with the case - why would they?//

I am not sure that this is done for the american market

but that is me: pick pick pick
Good grief. Poor beggar. Guilty verdict and the trial hasn't even begun!
ah. I'm going to have to take the knee before Spicerack because he's right and I was wrong. I was thinking about Harry when I wrote Andrew.

As I did at least get right, Philip fought in the war but I inadvertently called him Andrew's grandfather, which he was not. (Andrew's real grandfather also went to war.) So Philip and Andrew fought in wars, which I remembered, but Harry's the one I forgot about. Edward didn't quite make it to the marines despite them paying for his education at Cambridge, and Charles, well, he's got a lot of admiralships and many fine ribbons and thus will be a great king.
PP "christ you addressed Corbyloon as CBL - he's head of the naming police and was head-hunting the other night ....and went ape-shot when someone wrote TTT instead of ToraToraTora ( bless)(bless all of them, lord love them)"

If you're meaning CHOUX, she called me TCL not CBL and I did not go "ape-shot" so I suggest you reign in your flights of fancy and stick to the facts.
On more than one occasion I have heard some of the royal biographers/correspondents/pundits/experts declare that Andrew was the Queen's favourite child. It occurs to me, that being so, what is the likelihood that Andrew in conversation with HM has declared the truth behind the Epstein scandal? If therein lies the truth then I would not be surprised that the Queen has advised her second-born son to resign his positions, albeit under any pressures brought to bear by Charles and William who may appear to have the same thoughts about the future of our Royal Family.

jourdain2, I suspect that many non-monarchists (no offence intended) have a similar view. I think that HM has always acted in the interests of her subjects and shows an over-whelming dedication to the truth and does her very level best to be as honest as anyone could be. Her bedrock of Christianity will always serve her well.
TCL, why do you persist in shouting people's user names?
There isn't a single capital in my name.
