The latest polls show the Tory party approval rating
is sinking even lower.
With 65% of voters saying they will not vote Tory.
Mostly blaming the Owen Paterson scandal and holding Boris directly responsible for the Downing St Parties.
It's beginning to look like the Tories could soon be History.
TTT,
I don’t think Boris is out of harm, depends on lots of factors, whether the police fine him, if they do, how the backbenchers react, whether they get enough letters or the men in grey suits act anyway.
And if there is a change of leader, whether that will work for the public in getting a Conservative vote in 36 months time.
But at the moment, an opinion poll is no barometer.
Gromit, I agree and if Labour had any sense (yeah I know) they'd be doing everything they can to keep Boris in but they want the little prize rather than the big one or at least a chance at the big one.
In the 2019 Local Elections, the Conservatives had a bad day and lost 1,330 Councillors. That was in May, by December they got an 80 seat majority in the General Election.
So a bad result in the Local Elections may not be fatal for Boris’ leadership.
You still dont get that these are polls which can change alot in six months and the next election is 30 months away. I hope there right in 2024 but its a long way off
Who do you want in place of the Tories then gulliver1. You have been asked this many times but I haven't seen you give a positive answer except that you want the Tories out.
See what gulliver says but I think like me he likes Kier. Am puzzled tho a sto why gulliver cares so much as he doesnt even geta vote in our elections where he lives
Hi Gulliver1, although providing a news article isn't mandatory, please could you try to provide a link to a source regarding statistics in instances where your posts want to discuss statistics.

Agreed
But that was during the transition period of Bozo become PM on the wave of Brexit hubris
Current living standards combined with tax rises and the ‘let’s have a party and sod the locked down public’ approach mean that Bozo is on a tightrope
And the top bods amongst the Tories know that
His back benchers certainly do because plenty have voiced their concerns and displeasure
