Revolting Tories
// Conservative MPs are organising a revolt against the prime minister over the scrapping of a ban on the imports and sale of fur and foie gras.
Government sources have confirmed to the Guardian that reports of a U-turn were “broadly correct”, despite the fact the bans were mentioned in the government’s action plan for animal welfare and aimed at bringing swing voters on side. //

Another completely avoidable problem for Boris. Go back on your promises at the election, andpeople will say you lied yet again.

When the facts change I change my plans what do you do? - how wise how wise..... any one spot it?
The late, great economist John Maynard Keynes always said, "When the facts change, I change my mind." Cramer has adopted the quote as his personal mantra. After all, he said one of the easiest mistakes to make is refusing to change your mind when the facts are in and you've been proven wrong.

From Sky News :
PM again refused to comment on partygate allegations
During the Downing Street press conference earlier, Boris Johnson again refused to comment on the partygate allegations after he faced claims his call for people to take "personal responsibility" in curbing the spread of coronavirus was hypocritical.
"I can't comment on the allegations that you refer to, as I have said before we'll have to wait and see on that," he told journalists.
Stupid is as stupid does

The article contains a link to a piece from Saturday's edition which included, "The British government is reportedly considering ditching its pledge to ban fur and foie gras imports after opposition from within the cabinet.
The new rules, which were due to be part of the animals abroad bill, were expected to be introduced soon. But, according to the BBC, the government is likely to drop the plans due to objections from several cabinet ministers."
Is it not obvious the articles are discussing plans for a ban on imports of foie gras and fur which were due to appear in a Bill but are no longer included?
