I thought I would start a separate thread on the situation in Ukraine as several of the other related threads are getting a bit fractious and have long since deviated from the original question.
That isn't a criticism: it's human nature and shows we're free to argue.

This man was miraculously pulled from his car in Obolon (N Kyiv) after it was steamrollered by a Russian tank. The "denazification" process continues (!)

It was a Russian tank Roy.
So who do you think was driving it ..
I mean, you could check these things for yourself. It it was part of a convoy going through Obolon as you can plainly see from availably footage. You can see it skid across the road, and there is the film of the rescue from which the still was taken.
No one suggests it was anything other than an accident by the way
Several minutes previously it had passed through an adjoining suburb and was spotted by a friend of ours.
Sorry if I appear rude. I may be a little highly strung at the moment,.

I've heard several opinions of what happened but don't know which one is the truth but would the Russians send in a convoy SAM vehicles before they had secured the territory?

To be fair to ROY, there are reports that it was a Ukrainian armoured vehicle that had lost control and reports that the Ukrainian vehicle had been stolen by Russian saboteurs.

I do.
Unless you think Ukraine marked their own tanks with Z and then deliberately skidded out of control
I repeat they were Russian tanks. As I say we know people who saw them. Why in the Lord’s name to echo a certain president would Ukraine send tanks into Kyiv (!)

Roy. You say it wasn't a tank. I'm not familiar with the different types of armoured vehicles. Can you tell me what it was please?

They fired on buildings in Obolon according to a friend of ours’ mother who lives in Obolon.
So unless the Ukrainians had gone “full Tonto” …

well.... you can decide which one is the truth or - - more truthful ( so dare is a hierarchy yeah? of troof)

and then dismiss the one that said - "I wanna get in there and dismiss the no-hopers and druggies and put in a govt I like better. Ukraine must always be neutral..."

kinda bits of that are true yeah? ( I want Ukraine to be neutral....)

I dont think this exercise is difficult but I am ready to be told that I am as ever writing way way above the heads of average Abers.

In the subject of the tank, there are any number of links to the film. it looks like it may have been deliberate actually, possibly the act of one of the saboteurs

Armed saboteurs came in from the north west.
I agree that it may not have been a Russian tank, but looks like possibly hijacked vehicles. A tank convoy would presumably not do zigzagging into vehicles, reversing over them, or taking pot shots at apartment buildings
